Tickmill is an excellent multi-asset broker that offers truly low-cost forex trading; the broker's Pro and VIP accounts are among the least expensive in the industry. Tickmill provides both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, as well as third-party services like TradingView and Signal Centre, powered by Acuity Trading. Tickmill's overall offering continues to grow, but it offers fewer CFDs than the best multi-asset forex brokers.

VT Market offers its own proprietary mobile app as well as access to the full MetaTrader platform suite (including MetaTrader 5). VT Markets also offers support for popular third-party tools like Trading Central and trading signals from Acceage, as well as social copy trading from Zulutrade. Though the broker continues to evolve, there are fewer markets to trade than what is available at the best brokers, and its research and educational materials are limited. It's also worth noting that VT Markets no longer benefits from being part of the Vantage Group of companies, which weighs down its overall Trust Score.

Tier-1 is reserved for the strictest, most stringent regulatory jurisdictions in the world. Tier-1 regulators impose additional capital requirements and require a tougher initial screening process. As far as tier-2 licenses go, Tickmill is Cyprus (CySEC Authorised), South Africa (FSCA Authorised) and UAE (DFSA, FSRA, or CMA Authorised), while VT Markets is South Africa (FSCA Authorised) and UAE (DFSA, FSRA, or CMA Authorised).. Neither have China (CBRC Authorised), India (SEBI Authorised), Israel (ISA Authorised), Russia (CBR Authorised) and Thailand (SEC Authorised). When comparing tier-3 licenses unfortunately, neither Tickmill nor VT Markets are Bahamas (SCB Authorised), Belize (FSC Authorised), Bermuda (BMA Authorised), British Virgin Islands (FSC Authorised), Cayman Islands (CIMA Authorised), Mauritius (FSC Authorised) and Vanuatu (VFSC Authorised).. Neither have Vanuatu (VFSC Authorised).

Whether your broker develops its own proprietary platforms or provides access to popular third-party platforms, you should make sure you can use your preferred type of trading platform. In our testing, we found that both Tickmill and VT Markets offer a Desktop Platform (Windows). Neither have Proprietary Desktop Trading Platform, cTrader, DupliTrade [DELETED] and ZuluTrade [DELETED]

It's also important to ensure your broker accepts the funding options and deposit methods that work best for you. In our research, we've found that Tickmill supports Bank Wire (Deposit/Withdraw), PayPal (Deposit/Withdraw) and Skrill (Deposit/Withdraw) for funding and deposit methods, whereas VT Markets supports neither of these.
